The Porpoise Hunter

Finally got around to rendering this dude out and putting it together this weekend. It started as a quickie demo on the Pixologic channel, but for some reason I liked it and continued a bit more~ :D Hope you enjoy it! You can watch (or skim) the stream below.

A deep sea concept: The porpoise hunter is a monstrous Isopod weighing in at an average of 25,000 kg up to the highest estimate of 35,000 kg, matching that of their deep diving rivals; the sperm whale. These sea giants are usually stationed and motionless in the depths of the Mariana's Trench at a 'comfortable' 3300 - 6000 meters below surface level in the abyssopelagic zone. Their inner body pressure and overall mass counteracts the weight of the water at the depth allowing them to remain suspended when not feeding or reproducing.
